Last week, 2/17.18, was our first "The Heart of A Dreamer" seminar. The idea came from several women who requested we do a workshop on creating vision boards. It turned out to be so much more than that! In fact, we didn't even do the vision boards. Instead, attendees learned the process of dreaming and came away with tools such as "declarations" we could use in our daily lives to change our thinking and attract new opportunities.
Our special guest speaker was Mary Henington, author of "The Permission to Dream" book. Mary assured us that we already possess the abilities to turn our dreams into reality, based on science and the Word of God.
I was also able to share a few of my stories as a dreamer whose heart is being transformed continuously as I pursue my dreams. It was truly a stretch and a very humbling experience. I didn't realize I needed to share my story until that day! Whew, I do not despise small beginnings!
We did an exercise that helped us discover a small piece of our life puzzle, which is a good start in creating our vision boards. To follow up with this event, we will do meet-ups to help each other grow. We plan to bring this seminar to wherever it is needed, especially in places where people need encouragement in discovering the desires of their hearts.
Not only was this event a dream come true for Mary and I, but it's also an honor to be able to donate to Declan Champers, a 5 yr.old who is on his 2nd bone marrow transplant. We believe he will live a long and purposeful life!
